Catherine Teresa who is playing a tribal girl in Arya’s Kadamban has been approached for a dance number in a Telugu film. Catherine who rose to popularity in Tollywood after her stint with Allu Arjun in Sarrainodu has been paid a hefty sum of 65 lakhs for the dance number.
The untitled flick for which Catherine is dancing has got Sai Srinivas playing the lead role. He is the son of the producer, Bellamkonda Suresh. Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the movie has got none other than Keerthy Suresh as the lead actress.
Trade analysts suggest that Catherine wouldn’t have been paid such a sum even if she acted in full length for movies in Telugu. However, the producer didn’t shy away from paying the hefty sum to the actress. Instead, the producer was actually confident with the director who has turned up with a few hits in the language. Talking about signing the movie only for a dance number, Catherine said that she had got a great rapport with the producer and she indeed had fun dancing to the number.
Even in the previous movies of actors like Speedunodu, the makers roped in leading actresses like Tamannah to shake legs for a dance number.
Apart from Kadamban, the Madras actress has got “Kathanayagan” coming up with Vishnu Vishal in the lead. She said that her character in Kathanayagan will be poles apart from that of the one in Kadamban. However, the actress is confident that her roles will be received well by the audience.
