According to the latest trailer for Freakier Friday, the body-swapping antics will go to a whole new level.
Lindsey Lohan plays Anna Coleman, who has a lot of wedding planning to do, and her mother, Tess, is there to assist. Anna's daughter wrote her own vows and referred to Lily Davies as "a little demon thing with an obnoxious accent," indicating that she and her husband-to-be, Eric's daughter, do not get along.
Following a fortune-telling incident on Anna's bachelorette, in which Bayer determines that Butters and Sophia Hammons' step-sisters "are called to be family" and advises Anna and Tess that they might gain additional insight by "walking in each other's paths," the lightning that strikes them twice puts them all in danger.
Bayer's voice adds, "Change the hearts you know are wrong." "To arrive at the location where you belong."
When the four discover that Tess, also known as Granny, and Lily have switched bodies, while Anna and her daughter have not, chaos breaks out.
"We can break our parents up for good," Lily, played by Jamie Lee Curtis, declares, and the original pair set out to accomplish this by "reuniting her (Anna) with her first love," Jake, played by Chad Michael Murray.
Based on Mary Rodgers' novel Freaky Friday, it is directed by Nisha Ganatra. Nathan Kelly, Ann Marie Sanderlin, and Lindsay Lohan are executive producers, while Kristin Burr, p.g.a., Andrew Gunn, p.g.a., and Jamie Lee Curtis are producers.
On August 8, the movie opens in theatres.
