National News

• India Deploys 34 Supercomputers: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) announced the deployment of 34 supercomputers with a combined computing power of 35 Petaflops across India under the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM). These supercomputers will be set up at top academic and research institutions, including IITs and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), to promote research and development in the country.
• National Manufacturing Mission: The Government of India has set up an interministerial committee headed by BVR Subrahmanyam, CEO of NITI Aayog, to design the broad framework of the proposed National Manufacturing Mission (NMM). The mission aims to boost the Make in India initiative and increase the share of the manufacturing sector in India's GDP.
