For those who didn't know, Vijay had been at the audio launch event for Suriya's film Retro, where he discussed the sociopolitical situation of our nation today and compared it to the Adivasi tribes' previous conflicts, stating that the former had to apologise for their transgressions.
Lawyer Kishan Lal Chauhan even filed a case against the artist at the SR Nagar police station in Hyderabad, claiming that this remark offended the tribal group.
